In its October newsletter, HEPA Europe published a story of the Sport4HealthNet project, funded by the European Commission. The project is managed by Prof. Dr. Ostojić from the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education University in Novi Sad. HEPA Europe, as the part of the World Health Organization gathers tens of thousands of members from all over Europe, therefore it is of great significance that they promoted our project in their newsletter as an important project for promoting physical activities among the working population.

Promoting Health-Enhancing Physical Activity At The Workplace

The Sport4HealthNet project co-funded by the EU Erasmus + programme unites professionals from Serbia, Slovenia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Belgium and The Netherlands in an effort to encourage participation in sport and physical activity among the working population with the goal of lowering health risk factors for lifestyle diseases. Health-enhancing physical activity at the workplace increases productivity and positively impacts wellbeing outcomes. The programme of exercises, specifically designed for people who spend most of their working hours behind a desk, tackles the usual problems such as lack of time, resources or space to be active.
