Valdemar Štajer, born in 1986, is a teaching assistant at Faculty of sports and physical education, University of Novi Sad in teaching classes Exercise testing, Outdoor activities. In the laboratory for Applied Bioenergetics, he works as the chief laboratory technician-coordinator, with specific knowledge and skills in biochemistry and exercise physiology. He is a PhD studentat the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education, University of Novi Sad. For his PhD thesis, he studies dynamics of creatine synthesis in clinical and athletic environment. His most significantscientific papers, as author and co-author, have been published in Applied Physiology, Nutritionand Metabolism; Research in Sports Medicine; Biomarkers; Journal of Pediatric Endocrinologyand Metabolism; European Geriatric Medicine; Journal of Human Nutrition and Dietetics; Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise. At the International Science Conference in Moscow (2018) and Zagreb (2010) he received the second (2018) and first (2010) prize for the beststudent scientific paper. As a member of the coaching staff (head strength and conditioningcoach) in volleyball club “Vojvodina“, Novi Sad, Serbia, he participated in winning two nationalchampionship titles. During high school and college he practiced in wrestling. Now he is working as the head coach and coordinator of the youth selections in wrestling club “Novi Sad“ Novi Sad, Serbia.
