Milan Cvetkovic, PhD

Milan J. Cvetkovic received his BA degree in 1996 at the Faculty of Physical Education, University of Novi Sad (title: Professor of Physical Education – Bachelor Kinesiotherapist). He recieved his MSc in Physical Education 2002, and PhD in Physical Education in 2007 at the same faculty. He is currently working at the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education, University of Novi Sad as Full Professor. He teaches courses in Winter outdoor activities and Summer outdoor activities, and electives in Hiking and Fitness Yoga at the BA 4-year and 3-year levels. He is also engaged in the MSc Program in Sports and Physical Education in the courses Adapted Physical Exercise and Anthropomotor Research, and in the MSc program – Physical Education, Physical Activity and Health teaching the course in Life Span Motor Development. In addition, he is engaged at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Novi Sad, in two programs – Medical Rehabilitation and Special Education and Rehabilitation. To date, he has authored and co-authored about 50 peer-reviewed articles in multidisciplinary journals such as Health and Quality of Life Outcomes, Journal of Back and Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation, Croatian Journal of Education, HealthMed, Facta Universitatis Series Physical Education And Sport, Kinesiologia Slovenica, Acta Kinesiologica, Medicinski pregled, about 30 conference abstracts, two books and gave several invited lectures. He is also a reviewer in the scientific journals Facta Universitatis Series Physical Education and Sport and Exercise and Quality of Life (EQOL) – Journal of Science in Sports. He is an implementer of several scientific and professional international and national projects, such as Physical Education and Sports at Faculties (financed by the Provincial Secretariat for Sports and Youth of Vojvodina), Postural Status, Physical Activity and Nutrition of Elementary School Students (Project of Special Interest for Sustainable Development in AP Vojvodina at the Provincial Secretariat for Higher Education and Scientific Research), Tisa Water Tours – Development of a cross-border water tourism destination along the Lower Tisa section (IPA Project). He is the author and implementer of two licensed seminars at the ZUOV (Institute of Education) at the Government of the Republic of Serbia. He is a member of FISAF (Federation Internationale des Sports Aerobics et Fitness) Serbia Educational team and a visiting lecturer at FISAF Serbia Academy of Fitness and Aerobics. In 2007 he was the Sports Director of FISAF World Championships in Sport Aerobics and Fitness Teams in Belgrade. He is also a member and visiting lecturer of the Serbian Association for Recreation and Fitness (SRFS) and Vojvodina Association forRecreation andFitness (SRFV). He is a licensed FISAF International Personal Trainer, licensed SRFS Master Trainer, licensed VIDYA YOGA Instructor, licenced ski instructor of the Serbian Association of Snowsport Instructors (SASI) and licensed guide for excursions and hiking in summer conditions of Mountaineering Association of Serbia. Since 1997 he has been assisting in the organization of the Fruška Gora Mountain Hiking Marathon. In addition, Dr. Cvetkovic has over 25 years of experience working with recreational and professional athletes as a personal, fitness, aerobics and yoga instructor.
