Marko Stojanovic, PhD

Marko DM. Stojanovic received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Sport and Physical Education on October 2000. He then pursued his postgraduate training at the same faculty where and obtained a MSc in Sport Science (2006). Finally, he received a PhD in Sport Science at 2008. He is currently working as associate Professor in two subjects, Basketball and Essentials of Strength Training and Conditioning, at the University of Novi Sad. He has been appointed as Visiting Professor at the University of Zagreb (2016). His current research follows two main themes: (a) Growth, maturation and sport performance, and (b) Strength training and conditioning. To date, he has authored and co-authored over 40 peer-reviewed articles in multidisciplinary journals with high impact factors such as International Journal of Cardiology, European Journal of Nutrition, Nutrients; Research in Sports Medicine; Journal of strength & Conditioning Research. He is a member of National Strength and Conditioning association (NSCA).  In addition, Dr. Stojanovic has over 15-year of practical experience working as a head of performance for several team-sport clubs and national teams (Serbia football A national team- men; Romanian basketball A National team (man and woman); F.C. Partizan).
