Marko Gusic was born on 03.10.1984 in Novi Sad. He finished elementary and high school in Novi Sad. He started playing football in the youngest categories in 1990 at the Vojvodina football school and later played for FC Železničar and FC Novi Sad. He received his degree in 2014 from the University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Sport and Physical Education with average mark 9,44during studies. He then continued his postgraduate training in sport science and enrolled a PhD in Sport and Physical Education at the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education, University of Novi Sad. Currently, he works as a teaching assistant on the subjects Football, Theory, methodics and practice in football and also working practice in subject Outdoor activities. He has published several papers in international and national journals as well as international and national conferences. He is an active reviewer in several journals. One of them is national journal with international importance. His main research areas are: team sport, conditioning in soccer, as well as training and testing in elite sport. He has participated as a researcher on several projects supported and financed by the Provincial Secretariat for higher education and science. He has also participated in several international projects, of which four were financed by EU funds. He is currently the president of the University Sports Association of Novi Sad, and he is a member of the Executive Board of the University Sports Federation of Serbia. He is named as a coordinator for Futsal in the upcoming European University Games 2020. He is also a member of the Assembly of the Vojvodina Sports Federation.
