Goran Vasic, PhD

Goran L. Vasic received his medical degree from the University of Novi Sad School of Medicine on November 1996. He then pursued his postgraduate human physiology and medicine, and obtained a MSc in Medical Sciences (2004), a Medical Specialist degree (2006), and a PhD in Medical Sciences (2011) at the University of Novi Sad. He is currently working as Associate Professor of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Novi Sad, and Adjunct Professor at the University of East Sarajevo. His current research follows one main theme, analyzing population health metrics in chronic diseases. To date, he has authored and co-authored peer-reviewed articles in multidisciplinary journals; 40+ conference abstracts; two book chapter, and one book. He is a member of The Serbian Medical Society. He was a doctor of the first team in FC “Vojvodina” from Novi Sad, 2000/01 – football season, Dr. Vasic has over 20-year experience working as a medical doctor and exercise physiologist with clinical populations and athletes.
